BRISTOL City need to lick their wounds and "move on quickly" from their defeat to Oxford United, says Jason Knight, with the Robins back in Championship action against Preston North End on Saturday.

City's unbeaten start to the Championship season was brought to an end on Sunday afternoon as Gary Rowett's side ran out 3-1 winners at Ashton Gate. Although a special Anis Mehmeti strike threatened a comeback, goals from Nik Prelec, Prezemyslaw Placheta and Greg Leigh proved to be enough for the U's to secure their first league win of the campaign.
Oxford took the lead after 19 minutes when Prelec headed home a Brian De Keersmaecker free-kick from the right wing, having found himself in plenty of space inside the Robins' box.
The away side's advantage was then doubled on the stroke of halftime when Placheta cracked a shot into the top corner from the edge of the box after Knight half-cleared a corner.
Mehmeti's fourth of the season gave the Robins hope early in the second half. The Albanian smashed a shot past Jamie Cumming and into the back of the net off the underside of the crossbar from some 25 yards to energise the Ashton Gate crowd, but City couldn't find that all-important leveller before Leigh's late header ended any hopes of a turnaround.
