Singha Estate allots B3bn to buy hotels

SET-listed developer Singha Estate expects to maintain its focus on recurring-income businesses through hotel acquisitions, allocating an investment budget of 3 billion baht for 2026 as revenue from its residential segment remains inconsistent in a sluggish market.

Chairath: Portfolio is diversified

Chief executive Chairath Sivapornpan said next year’s hotel investment will emphasise acquisitions, with targeted properties in Asia-Pacific to diversify the group's exposure to seasonal tourism cycles.

“Our hotel portfolio is well-diversified in terms of locations and customer base,’ he said.

“This reduces the impact of external factors. While some hotels may be affected at certain times, the overall spread of the portfolio helps mitigate risk”
