3 defendants cleared over actress's river death, another sentenced

The Nonthaburi Provincial Court acquitted three of the four remaining defendants related to the high-profile case involving the death of actress Nida “Tangmo” Patcharaveerapong, who drowned after falling from a speedboat on the Chao Phraya River in 2022.

Wisapat “Sand” Manomairat, Idsarin “Gatick” Juthasuksawat, Peam “EM” Thamtheerasri, and Nitas “Job” Kiratisoonthisathorn presented themselves at the court yesterday to hear the verdict. The actress's mother, Panida Sirayutyothin, also appeared as a co-plaintiff with public prosecutors.

Before the hearing, Ms Wisapat's lawyer, Phornsak Wipasa-panon, said the defendants would accept the court's decision.

Ms Wisapat, a friend of the late actress, and Ms Idsarin, the deceased’s personal manager, were in the speedboat with Nida when she plunged into the Chao Phraya River on Feb 24, 2022.
