Millions upon millions of people, from wandering ascetics to global pilgrims, gathered on the sacred riverbanks to partake in a ritual that is believed to cleanse the soul, wash away sins, and grant spiritual liberation. But beyond the fervour of faith, the Mahakumbh is also a marvel of precise astronomical calculations, a testament to the deep knowledge of Vedic scholars who synchronized divine worship with cosmic rhythms.
