Developing capabilities, original-design systems and products of the Turkish Defence Industry have recently carved out a different and significant place for themselves in the international platforms within the framework of participation in multinational projects and joint programs and collaborations carried out with the leading firms in the world defence industry. Significant developments in the R&D activities in the direction of the goals of the Undersecretariat for Defence Industries have enabled Turkish firms to open up to the world with a bold and new marketing vision harbouring a new enthusiasm. With this dynamic vision, all parties of the defence industry have been taking part in major projects as a competitor or as a business partner within a common synergy together with the developed defence industries of the world in the last years, which is a big source of pride for all of us. IDEF fairs also reveal Turkey’s vision which brings together developed defence industries and procurement authorities of the regional countries at a common platform, creating different cooperation possibilities.
Ranking among the top defence fairs in the world and being the biggest fair of Eurasia, IDEF forms a cooperation platform for the region and for all participating countries. Developing technologies, products and capabilities will meet with top level military authorities, procurement authorities and firms from more than 50 countries at IDEF-2015 organized under the auspices and support of the Ministry of National Defence and under the management and responsibility of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation. IDEF 2015 will go beyond the previous ones with the number of participants and expanded area. This year, countries such has Canada, Australia, Austria, China, Korea, Ukraine, Brazil, UK, US, Germany, Switzerland, Indonesia and Poland have national pavilions and companies have opportunity to technical presentations on products in IDEF 2015.
