The Dr Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital stands out with its unmistakable colonial charm. Its classical exterior features have not impeded on the modernity and efficiency of the building’s function. The project is an example of how good communications are between the client and architect resulted in practical yet unique and inspired designs.
Conveniently located near an urban front and backed by a wetland, the architect’s office and residence has been created within a minimalistic structure that is both energy efficient and eco-friendly. Fortified against city noise, the building embraces a cool and quiet setting accentuated by nature.
Renaissance, as he likes to define himself, and mannerist by nature, Piero Lissoni speaks about his history and his approach to life and his profession. Empathic by vocation, he is able to communicate with entrepreneurs and clients from all over the world, often transforming the companies with which he works into leaders in their sector.
