Architecture and sculpture with sense of purity, serenity and simplicity are admired of through generations. Temples at Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh and Konark in Odisha are such stunning examples. Undoubtedly, beautiful structures leave lasting imprints upon the viewers. And the architects & designers of structural marvel are always remembered along with their creations. It is because, while most of them adhere to the traditional lines and trends, a few simply love to experiment and leave a personal trace throughout their creations. In this issue we have published some projects of this stature.
The Gen-Next and ever-dynamic Ar. Srinivas Subudhy of Avakaz Architects has expressed his enormous love for craft and passion for innovation while designing the Bar-cum-Restaurant at Talcher. A perfect chilling-out place, the Resto-Bar's interior décor resembles the page of a geometry book with intervening triangle all over the spaces including the side-walls, ceilings, counter and even furniture.
Simple aesthetic design is the trademark of Engineer Amit Agrawal, who allows his creativeness and passion to flow freely and thereby has been able to create wonderful spaces. Aptly judging the emotion, choices, preferences and budget-size of the clients, he has certainly delivered a 'Dream Home' to the Agrawal brothers of Raipur. The twin houses have two separate entrances to ensure privacy of the each family, yet a bond of togetherness runs as the two are joined through a common verandah and interposing parents' accommodation.
The Architects duo Britta & Amit from Studio Symbiosis designed a bespoke living space in a private residence in Delhi-NCR, transforming the existing space into an interactive dynamic space...
