Prof. Ar. Charanjit Singh Shah of Creative Group shares his vision in an article ‘How can we make walkable and liveable cities?’ Our fear and discomfort with death have left crematoriums with segregated, cold and depressing spaces. To change such underperforming Hindu crematorium into a vital place at Amalsad town in Gujarat, Ar. Himanshu Patel from ‘d6thD design studio’ created a place not limited to fulfill the cremation rituals but to make much needed valuable public space for daily use in the urban setting. Bringing the sensibilities to the site coupled with the architectural skills, Vipul Patel Architects designed a weekend home ‘Tamara Villa’ on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, where the design vocabulary speaks eloquently and the result is simply wow! The villa exemplifies an idiosyncratic oeuvre that ranges from architecture, through interior, to landscape. Ar. Akshay Selukar of H & A Consultants from Bhopal designed a simple, efficient, and low-maintenance home with ample natural light and breeze exuding a meditative, calm, secure, and earthy environment. Architect duo Mayur Mangukiya and Ankit Sojitra at Studio17 designed a fascinated office space for ‘Coruscate’ in Surat focusing on the activities along with our daily work schedule which are needed today to complete an office to its fullest. Designer Rachana Goyam of Midas Luxury Interiors designed this modern apartment in Chennai with clean lines, minimal design elements, use of a selective palette of materials and colours. An Abode of simplicity has been created by Ar. Hiral Shah of INKLETS Studio at Bhayli in Vadodara, with an elegant and efficient design along with the sense of uniqueness to every space.
