In this special anniversary issue of GLITZ architecture and interiors magazine, we celebrate not only the brilliance of design and responsible practices but also the profound influence of architectural academia. As part of our ongoing efforts throughout the year, we will feature an architectural institution from each zone of India, exploring how education shapes the perspectives and development of the next generation of design minds. With a one-on-one conversation with Prof. Dr. Ramesh Srikonda (Director) and Dr. Ar. The Southern Regional Conference 2024, by IIA Kerala Chapter & Kannur Centre, unites architects to explore the intersection of humanity, society, and innovation through transformative design and dialogue. Vinod & Ranju Singhi of BASICS Architects meticulously restored and modernized Mayo College's historic boarding houses, blending heritage conservation with contemporary functionality. The Ahmedabad villa, featured on the cover, by Ronak Patel, Jinal Patel & Naiya Patel of VPA Architects harmoniously merges sustainability and tradition, using upcycled materials and thoughtful design to create a home that celebrates both heritage and modern living. Manish Kumat blends classical European elegance with modern sophistication, curated with bespoke details and serene pastel hues at the Indore home. The Vrindavan farmhouse by Pranvi Jain & Dhruv DV of The Melange Studio stands as a timeless testament to the allure of rural living and the transformative power of architecture.
