How we build and power our quickly growing global digital infrastructure is rapidly becoming central to the question of whether we will be able to transition to renewable energy in time to avoid dangerous climate change. With the help of Greenpeace International’s report, we go through the contemporary scenario of building a renewably powered internet, analyze the barriers and evaluate the 100% renewable claims.
Another hot topic of the quarter was – demonetization. After few months of the major announcement, how has/will it affect the renewable energy sector? Though the situation looks a bit gloomy for now, the long run will evidence benefits like the anticipated fall in lending rates and increase in foreign direct investment as a result of falling Indian rupee and rising dollar.
