Keeping its promise on presenting unique features every month, the Kadambini in its December 2016 too has carried with many attractive articles with colorful illustrations. The first article is based on an atypical character of our great mythological epic ‘The Mahabharat’ in which love, compassion of the protagonist woman is narrated with in-depth psychological, critical and analytical study in context to our glorious Indian tradition. On occasion of 80th year of Odisha, a special feature is placed with the historical study on the illustrious palace of Parala Maharaja and contributions of Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati to Utkal Sammilani on formation of our state as special province during British rule. Other features placed in this issue are on Tikarpada, Dhanu Sankranti and an interview with notable anchor Pupul Bhuyan who is also the model for cover page of current issue. The issue has also a serial novel, short stories and poems along with regular features on recipe, beauty, housekeeping and many more.
