Welcome to the 21st Edition of Trophy Hunter.
The first part of the year is always a busy time of year in the World of hunting with all the Trade Shows. With the SCI Convention, Shot Show and many more shows around the world being done and dusted this week, IWA, the leading trade fare for hunting, shooting sports features its own event that have been running for the last 43 years. The IWA show in Nuremberg is the place where a lot of European manufacturers launch new products. Swarovski yesterday announced their new Z8i rifle scope series and Tikka have just announced the new rifle to replace the successful Tikka T3, the Tikka T3X. In other breaking news, Sauer & Sohn presented the new Sauer 100 after it was announced at the Shot Show earlier this year.
Looking at this Editions layout for Trophy Hunter, all I can say is “Wow, it’s a beauty.” It really does have it all going on. We welcome some new faces to the magazines writing staff and we are also happy to see the contributions of Zach Bowhay, Michael Gibson, Jake Morgan, Mike Welch, Selena and Simon Barr and Matt Palmquist who consistently deliver the goods to our readers. Gibson brings us Chamois in New Zealand. Mike Welch brings Wapiti ballot hunting in the remote Wilderness of New Zealand.
We have Asiatic buffalo, Cape bufflao, cougar hunt, boar hunting in Poland plus a couple of thumping Mule deer bucks and Bill Molls brings an Alaskan adventure to the table.
Harvey shares his NZ Tahr hunt story and Nando Sciacca brings us Hogzilla. Finally, Jarred Matthews shares his experiences with the Stone Glacier SKY 5100 backpack.
