AUSTRALIAN & NZ DEFENDER is dedicated to the modern Anzac. Featuring action packed combat photojournalism direct from the front lines in Afghanistan, Iraq, Timor Leste, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Cambodia, Rwanda and more. For soldiers by ex soldiers. We aim to tell the forward troops story. No generals, no company executives selling arms. Just the straight story direct from down range.
We pride ourselves on our imagery, sourcing the best pix from Aussie and kiwi combat photographers both serving, civilian war correspondents and ourselves. We believe firmly that to talk the talk, you need to walk the walk and have completed over 20 combat embeds from Mogadishu to Charcheneh.
Our pix are backed up with quality feature writing done by the most experienced Australian war correspondents. We know our stuff, because we get it direct from the Forward Edge of Battle Area.
