Adrenaline, speed and passion…

I was dreaming about sportcars since I was a teenager. They actually looked much different then, and the modern track monsters are much more aggressive. The look might have slightly changed, but the DNA, and the spirit behind each fast machine stayed the same. They are designed to pump adrenaline to the driver’s veins, and keep us awake even without usual daily portion of caffeine. My teenage dreams came back with a full force since the day an invitation to try the new McLaren 570S landed on my desk. It has finally happened, and you can find out all about this vehicle in this issue. I still do not need a coffee to keep my awake, by the way.

We also spoke to David Brown, an English businessman who turned his passion to sportscars into reality. His long awaited Speedback is manufactured by hand, and brings the best British traditions into one handsome retro package. We will be able to see this vehicle up close and personal at the upcoming Dubai International Motor Show, but the story behind it is truly inspirational.

This is also the week when we have to say konnichiwa to our long term test car – the NX, which sadly has to be returned to a lovely Lexus team. Is it worth AED 160,000? You will have to read our last part of the review on page four to find out.
