MORE criminals and suspects than ever are tagged and electronically monitored now because of the broken justice system, say experts.
Over 20,000 wear the devices, up 16% from 17,350 this time a year ago.
More than a third are on bail waiting for cases to be dealt with by the log-jammed court system.
Other electronic devices are worn by criminals as part of their sentence or licensing conditions when released from jail.
