Charities in crisis

CHARITIES at breaking point this Christmas face a "heartbreaking" decision on turning people away.

Some 40% of organisations are at full capacity and 12% will be forced to turn the needy down, research by the Charities Aid Foundation reveals.

It comes as 68% of us are cutting back on spending and 47% think this Christmas will be worse than previous years, a Focaldata poll for campaign group 38 Degrees found.
