Awareness Programme on Land, Census, and SIR Held in Mirik

Mirik today hosted an awareness and interactive programme on "Land," "Census," and the Special Intensive Review (SIR), jointly organised by Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh and Bharatiya Gorkha Jan Awaaz at the Ex-Serviceman Bhawan under the chairmanship of senior citizen L.B. Dewan.
Retired Deputy Director of the Indian Census Department, Mohan Kumar Labar, stressed the importance of accurate census data for political, social, and regional development. He explained that constituency boundaries are redrawn based on census figures, making participation crucial. He appealed to the Gorkha community to record "Nepali"
