Servier Philippines, Inc. Celebrates World Adherence Day

Servier Philippines Inc. hosted the first World Adherence Day locally, a global initiative to raise awareness about one of healthcare's most pressing challenges: poor treatment adherence.

The event was spearheaded by the International Society of Hypertension (ISH), in partnership with various stakeholders, including scientific societies, patient associations, and industry partners, with Les Laboratoires Servier at the forefront.
Servier, a research-based pharmaceutical company present in over 150 countries, reinvests 20 percent of its revenue in R&D each year. Renowned for its therapeutic offerings for cardio-metabolic and venous diseases, the company shares ISH and its stakeholders' mission of educating patients on the risks of treatment non-adherence.
The event opened with a lecture by cardiologist Dr. Donny Magno, who elucidated the meaning of adherence and its clinical relevance, especially for patients with chronic diseases on lifetime medication.
