CPM leader and former MP Brinda Karat on Thursday said elite people are trying to rob off Koraga's God Koragajja while they kick the Koragas out in the real life and deny them of their rights.

Addressing a Koraga Akrosh rally in Mangaluru, Brinda, who is also vice-president of Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch, said, "Koraga daiva is a deity of Koraga community. Today the elite people are trying to rob us off of our Koragajja god while they feed us with dirty food and treat us like animals. God's children are dying of hunger. They are hanging our God Koragajja's portraits on their walls while Koragas do not have walls of their own as they are living in huts. We are still fighting for our rights and the successive governments have ignored us."
