A PLYMOUTH beauty salon has had to move after a flood brought the ceiling down while patrons were having their hair done. The Chic Boutique salon has been operating from Mutley Plain for more than eight years but has now relocated to Crownhill after clients got an unexpected wash with their hairdos.
Staff said they arrived at work on Thursday, April 4, to find the front end of the premises underwater, after water poured in from the maisonette above. They moved all hair and beauty operations to the rear of the salon, only for the ceiling to then fall down with more water cascading – as staff were working on ladies’ hair.
