Labour hopeful launches his election campaign

THE Labour candidate for Plymouth Moor View launched his General Election campaign yesterday with a rally on Whitleigh Green.

Fred Thomas will stand against sitting Conservative MP Johnny Mercer and other candidates in the election on July 4.

In a speech to local people and Labour activists, Mr Thomas said: “As a former Royal Marine I am proud to launch my campaign to be the next Labour MP for Moor View.

“I live here and I know that our community deserves better than the past 14 years of Tory decline. I will never take your vote for granted”.

“Over the next few weeks, I will set out my plans to change Moor View.
