The illustrated children's book The Adventures of Larry the Pirate, which features the adorable characters, came out in 2011 but is now on sale again - at the Drake's Island gift shop.
Written by city author Kevin Kelway and illustrated by Stuart McGhee the children's series was a regular feature in The Herald in 2011 and 2012, and built up quite a popular local and international following - especially in the Falklands.
The book is an adventure about a colony of penguins from the South Atlantic who end up living on Drake's Island. The Rockhoppas were floating on an iceberg for days before they were rescued by a group of Royal Marines in the South Atlantic seas.
The story featured characters such as Posh Aunt Edna, Mr Smeaton and Angie the Chocolate Mermaid.
