PLYMOUTH GLADIATORS..........53
POOLE PIRATES...... .......37
Much like the streets of Monaco in the Formula One Grand Prix series, there is always an exception to the rule - and Chris 'Bomber' Harris proved that to be the case on Tuesday night.
The Cornish rider was guesting for the Gladiators due to the continued absence of number one Edward Kennett, but he thrilled a healthy crowd at the Coliseum with some of the best individual racing seen at the track for quite some time on his way to a ten-point haul.
Harris' brilliant efforts also helped the team to an equally superb 53-37 win over title favorites - and defending league and cup holders - Poole Pirates for a win that will really make the rest of the league stand up and take notice.
This was by no means a one-man show, though. Harris may have thrilled spectators with his brilliant passing moves, but there were steady contributions throughout the team - and none more so than guest reserve Ben Morley, who ensued the absence of the Gladiators' very own star reserve, Dan Gilkes, was not felt on the night.
