Saltburn pair go on the attack to claim big win

LIAM Crooks and Jack Almond starred with the ball as Saltburn skittled Hartlepool cheaply to claim a 128-run victory.

Crooks took 4-23 and Almond 4-38 as visitors Hartlepool were all out for 77.

Saltburn had reached 205-7 batting first, with opener Gareth Shaw making 46, Tom Chisholm 62 not out and Crooks 42, while Matthew Maloy claimed 4-21.

Norton suffered a 147-run defeat by Darlington RA, after the visitors piled up a huge total of 291-6.

Sachithra Serasinghe scored an excellent 106 from 107 balls, which included 16 fours and a six.

Doug Mulholland also crashed 71 and Mathew Pillans 47 not out.
