The grant of interim bail by the Supreme Court to Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has been hailed by Opposition party leaders as a step that would protect the country's "Constitution and democracy". Some parties dubbed the decision a slap on the face and the Centre, saying it has been using the federal agencies to target the Opposition leaders.

Most INDIA bloc leaders hailed the Supreme Court's ruling. Aaditya Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray), posted on 'X' that the decision was a "huge sign of winds of change". He wrote: "Arvind Kejriwalji getting justice and relief against the dictatorial regime in the country is a huge sign of winds of change. He has been speaking the truth and that is what the BJP dislikes. More power to him and the INDIA bloc for Bharat. We will protect our Constitution and democracy!" 

Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar also welcomed the decision on 'X'. He posted: "I welcome the interim bail order granted to Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal by the SC.
