JAGAN GOVT SPENT RS 3706 CRORE UNDER YSR NETHENNA NESTHAM

On the 14th day of the Memantha Siddham Yatra, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had a direct and intimate interaction called 'Mukha-Mukhi' with the weavers community in Mangalagiri constituency of Guntur district.

Jagan thanked them for their overwhelming support and reiterated his commitment to them.

" He said, "In the last 58 months, the YSRCP government has spent Rs 3706 crore, including Rs 970 crore under YSR Nethenna Nestham for the overall welfare of 1.06 lakh weaver households in the State. Over and above this, the weaver households have also received support through schemes like Pedalandariki Illu, Rythu Bharosa, Aasara, Cheyuta, Aarogyasri to the tune of Rs 871 crore.

Explaining the various measures taken by the YSRCP government to bolster weavers' prospects, CM Jagan said, 'We have tied-up with international e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Myntra, and Flipkart to sell the handloom made by you all via online platforms to international markets. Furthermore, we are giving three sets of uniforms made by handloom weavers to every government school student. It may be noted that over 44 lakh students are currently studying in government schools.'
