A source close to the Kumaraswamy family confirmed the news of the former chief minister undergoing another valve replacement on March 21 at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai.
A team of specialists including a surgeon flown from the USA will perform the operation after local doctors in Chennai and Bengaluru refused to take the risk of operating on the 64year-old JD(S) leader, who is now a part of the NDA in Karnataka.
