Echoes of Shraddha Walkar murder in Mira Road case
COPYCAT MURDER: Why Sane went insane

The Mira Road killing has an uncanny and chilling similarity with the Shraddha Walkar case. This time, the police stumbled over the dismembered body of a 34-year-old woman, Saraswati Vaidya, who lived with her partner, Manoj Sane, 56, in an apartment on the seventh floor of the Geeta Akashdeep building in Geeta Nagar, Mira Road. The live-in was arrested even as he was trying to flee the scene of the crime. What gave him away was the stench emanating from his apartment, Flat No 704, which he tried to conceal by his amateurish use of a spray.
