Air India Express became the newest airline from the Tata group that ended up cancelling more than 90 flights within 24 hours at the last minute, because over a hundred cabin crew did not turn up and instead reported sick at the last minute and then switched off their phones.
The airline operates more than 350 flights per day. Just about a month ago, Vistara had to cancel flights because their pilots went on mass sick leave in a similar fashion.
