Frozen food exports get dedicated rail-to-port cold chain corridor

Gujarat’s growing dominance in the global frozen food market received a major infrastructure push with the launch of India’s first dedicated reefer container rail service connecting ICD Virochannagar to Mundra Port.

The new cold chain corridor is expected to transform the export movement of temperature-sensitive cargo and strengthen India’s food export competitiveness in global markets.

The dedicated reefer train service, launched by Adani Logistics Limited (ALL), will transport frozen food products of HyFun Foods from Virochannagar in Ahmedabad district to Mundra Port in Kutch for shipment to major Asian markets including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Indonesia.
