Healthy crowd tells the story

Kaizer Chiefs’ excellent start to the Betway Premiership season could be seen in the healthy crowd that gathered at FNB Stadium on Tuesday.

Over 20 000 supporters is a good attendance for a fairly low-profile midweek game, even if top spot in the league was at stake.

One problem with this is as the fans pour back in, so will the level of toxicity if it all starts to go pear-shaped.

There was a seismic roar of joy in the stadium as Fabio Da Silva levelled the scores in the 13th minute on Tuesday. But these were replaced by whistles of irritation and calls for substitutions as Sekhukhune took control of the game in the second half.
