Parts of Sade Robinson's body were dumped like rubbish in several locations and, tragically, her head was never found
-
Weeks away from completing a degree in criminal justice, Sade Robinson was on the brink of achieving all her dreams. Sade, 19, was a student at Milwaukee Area Technical College and working at a local pizza restaurant to support her studies. She had ambitions of joining the US Air Force and with her strong work ethic and natural people skills, no one doubted that she'd live the life she wanted.
When Maxwell Anderson met Sade in a bar in March 2024, he asked for her number. Anderson, 33 at the time, had served in the US Navy and was working as a bartender.
A week later, on 1 April, Anderson sent Sade a message asking her out on a date. He suggested going for something to eat in a seafood restaurant called Twisted Fisherman where he used to work.
“Yes, I love seafood,” she replied.
That evening, they had a meal together and afterwards they went to a bar in downtown Milwaukee. Just after 9pm, they walked to Sade’s parked Honda Civic, and surveillance footage shows they both went back to Anderson's apartment.
The following day, Sade didn’t turn up for work and didn’t answer any calls. She was reported missing. Then, a member of the public reported a car on fire. Witnesses said a male had exited the vehicle wearing a grey hoodie and had tossed a light into it, before walking away.
Tracing a killer
Emergency services rushed to put out the flames. The car was Sade’s Honda Civic. Despite the damage, investigators found remains of the clothes Sade had been wearing on her first date and remnants of an iPhone that was like hers.
The police traced Sade’s phone and saw that it had left Anderson’s home in the early hours of 2 April and travelled to Warnimont Park, along the Lake Michigan shoreline, at 2.45am. Later that day, near the park and down a slope towards the water, a sawn-off human leg was found with pink painted toes. It belonged to Sade.
