Love Lust Lies and Liaison

There are books we read. And then there are books that read us. Gurmeet Brar's Love Lust Lies and Liaison falls in the latter category. I picked it up expecting anecdotes, maybe some recycled relationship advice. What I got instead was an uncomfortably intimate, sometimes brutally honest excavation of the emotional scaffolding many of us live on-and often fall from.He doesn't treat love like a soft emotion wrapped in poetry. He treats it like what it actually is: a living, shifting force that entangles identity, desire, ego, insecurity, trauma, and power. And he doesn't stop there. He tracks what happens when that love mutates-into lust, into lies, into liaisons.

Gurmeet Brar who regularly contributes to 'Daily Punjab Times' had authored three poetry anthologies earlierand recipient of prestigious Giani Gurmukh Singh Musafir Award of Govt. of Punjab for his book ‘Chupp Ton Magron’apart from best director awards at various international film festivals. This time hisnon-fiction book ‘Love , Lust, Lies and Liaison’ has barged into literary circles blending love's powerful emotions with deception. Like a savage storm, the author brings violent language that tears apart the skin of love to lay bare the internal suffering. The book is a gauntlet thrown at your heart, demanding you to confront the lies that we cradle and the lust that undo us. In the delicate dance of love, where lust ignites and lies entangle, every liaison becomes a mirror reflecting our deepest desires and fears, leaving us with the truth of who we are and leading us to catharsis.
