Grants scheme to help benefit the town

COMMUNITY groups in Barnstaple are being encouraged to apply for funding as the town council opens applications for its annual and strategic community grants.

The scheme supports a range of local initiatives, from new startups to long-established projects and one-off schemes, with the aim of investing in organisations that directly benefit the town and its residents.
Three levels of grants are available: small grants (up to £1,000), annual grants (£1,000 to £5,000) and strategic grants (£5,000 to £8,000). Applications are open for the annual and strategic grant categories and will close on Tuesday, December 31.
