Couple transform derelict farm with two luxurious holiday lets

A DERELICT farm has been given a new lease of life - and a luxury twist - thanks to a couple's four-year labour of love and a dream involving trout.
Michael and Joanna Durrell have opened the doors to two new holiday lets in Chulmleigh following an extensive transformation of Week Mill Farm, which they purchased in 2020 during the Covid pandemic.
Originally from Essex, the couple were drawn to the property's tranquil surroundings and its location near the River Taw.
For Michael, who has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, the purchase also marked the realisation of a lifelong dream to own a property with fishing rights.
