Up to 2 more tropical cyclones could hit PH before 2025 ends

One to two more tropical cyclones may still enter or develop within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in December, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said, citing climatological records.

The next cyclones on the agency's list are “Wilma” and “Yasmin.”

Climatological data suggest several possible tracks for December storms.

Some tropical cyclones may enter PAR without making landfall, recurving toward the eastern part of the country before moving on to Japan.

Others may enter PAR but recurve before reaching northern or northeastern areas, also heading toward Japan.

Landfalling cyclones may follow different paths depending on their track.

Northern or Central Luzon could be crossed by storms that exit toward Hong Kong, while southern Luzon to northern Visayas may see cyclones moving toward Vietnam.
