911 in action: Cops nab 4 men in Tondo robbery attempt

Four suspects involved in a robbery attempt in Tondo, Manila, were immediately arrested following a swift police response prompted by a 911 emergency hotline call from the victim.

The Manila Police District (MPD) said that the incident occurred along Pacheco Street near the corner of Osmeña Street in Barangay 67 at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18.

The victim, a 43-year-old businessman, was driving along Pacheco Street when the four suspects, identified as “Rhandi,” “Luke,” “Kester,” and “Franco,” blocked his path.

Rhandi immediately held the car window to prevent it from closing, while Luke pointed a kitchen knife at him and threatened him by saying, "Papatayin kita! Ibigay mo cellphone mo at 'yang bag mo!" (I will kill you! Give me your phone and your bag!).
