TWO men were arrested for working illegally following a raid by immigration enforcement officers on an abattoir.
The owner of the Greater Manchester firm could be fined as much as £40,000. It followed a tip-off to the Home Office last year about people allegedly working illegally and living in accommodation at the site. Officers visited the busilast November, where they received an 'adverse reaction' during the visit, before a warrant was issued to return to the site.
