Earlier this year, parent company Kellanova, formerly Kellogg Company, announced it was exploring closing the factory, which has been open for 90 years.
The firm said the facility's age meant it was 'laid out in a way that made sense in the 1930s' but 'changes in industrial design and technology' caused the company to say it couldn't 'see a longterm future for our Trafford Park factory!
That decision to shut the plant down has now been set in stone, causing 360 job losses, after an agreement was reached with trade unions over 'an enhanced redundancy package' and an understanding 'redeployment will be offered to all colleagues who want it, and, where it can be accommodated!
