Axe victim called health team hours before attack

A MAN killed with an axe by his cousin left 'urgent' messages - and made 'anxious and concerned' calls to mental health services hours before the fatal attack, an inquest was told.

Ryan Lowry 36, died in the early hours of February 28, 2020, after being chased and hit a number of times in the street by tree surgeon Ashley Glennon near his home in Partington, Trafford.

In January 2021, Mr Glennon, also known as Ashley Rowen, then aged 32, was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order after pleading guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsiblity.
