Leanne: Changes to knives can save lives

A TEACHER who nearly died in last year’s Southport attack is urging the public to start using round-ended kitchen knives.

Leanne Lucas was stabbed multiple times by teenage killer Axel Rudakubana last July. Rudakubana murdered Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, Bebe King, six, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, and badly wounded 10 other people.

As she recovered from her near fatal injuries, Ms Lucas founded her Let's Be Blunt campaign.
