Man on guns & explosives charges is refused bail

A 45-YEAR-OLD man charged with firearms and explosives offences has been refused bail due to the seriousness of the case.

Paul Sheehan, of Elm Drive, Shamrock Lawn, Douglas, Co Cork, faces four charges and first appeared before a special sitting of Cork District Court last Saturday.

He was remanded in custody and appeared again yesterday by video link from prison, saying he was willing to comply with any bail conditions.
