ALMOST €20,000 has been raised for Christy Dignam and his family as the Aslan singer remains in palliative care.
Fan Stephen Browne set up a GoFundMe called Christy Dignam Let’s Give Back last week.
The fundraiser aims to raise enough money to be able to help the Dignam family pay for expenses, after his family revealed the Crazy World hitmaker was receiving palliative care.
So far, more than €17,500 has been raised. Among the donations included €100 from former rugby star Brent Pope.
Stephen said Christy has “always been there for us, showing up to charity events and even funerals of loved ones, and now it is time for us to give back to him and his family”.
The fundraiser reads: “Dear Friends and Fans of Christy Dignam.
