VETERAN criminal John Gilligan today describes how he prayed to God for forgiveness when a gunman blasted six bullets into him in a gangland ambush.
"I said to myself, 'This is me out of this life. God, I'm sorry for all me sins, please forgive me," the mobster reveals in a bombshell new book, serialised in today's Irish Mirror.
