Ranji Trophy: Chandigarh beat Delhi by 9 wkts

Chandigarh, led by opener Shivam Bhambri's unbeaten 100, inflicted a nine-wicket defeat on Delhi on the final day of their Elite Group D Ranji Trophy game here on Saturday.
The hosts, having already posted impressive wins over Assam and Jharkhand, knocked off the 157 runs they needed on the final day without ado. Chandigarh lost opener Arslan Khan (80), ending a 130-run partnership with Bhambri (100*—130b, 7x4, 6x6), before easing to the target. Skipper Manan Vohra was 24 not out. Chandigarh, who scored 324 in reply to Delhi's 276 and then restricted the visitors to 250, reached 204/1. The third win of the season is Chandigarh's best since the team came under the BCCI fold in 2019, Vohra said.
Chandigarh are on top of the group with 19 points in four matches and next play Saurashtra on November 13. Delhi, with 11 points from four games, have matches against Jharkhand, Saurashtra and Railways left.
