Hollywood is no stranger to film universes, which intertwine and form a larger narrative. Bollywood is now going down a similar path. Producer Aditya Chopra's SpyVerse kicked off the trend with the Tiger franchise, War (2019) and recently Pathaan. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty jumped on the bandwagon with his Cop Universe - Singham (2011), Singham Returns (2014), Simmba (2018) and Sooryavanshi (2021). Shetty has roped in actors Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff for Singham Again, which will release next year. While a film universe looks good on paper, is the Indian audience ready for the onslaught of films coming their way?
