Everlasting Consequences, Iran on US Strikes

Iran warned that US strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites early Sunday will trigger "everlasting consequences" and said it "reserves all options" to respond.

TEHRAN: "The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences," foreign minister Abbas Araghchi, also the country's lead nuclear negotiator, wrote on X.

"Each and every member of the UN must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behaviour," Araghchi said.

"Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people."

The remarks were the first official reaction from an Iranian official following the US strikes on the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan sites. The statement stopped short of directly threatening US assets or outlining any specific retaliatory action.
