Paid parking system activated in Shahama area

Q Mobility, responsible for managing, operating, and developing Abu Dhabi toll system “Darb” and the Abu Dhabi parking system “Mawaqif,” announced the activation of the paid parking system in the outer areas of the Shahama region, under the regulatory supervision of the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), affiliated with the Department of Municipalities and Transport.
The system was implemented from November 7, 2025, with a fee of Dhs2 per hour for the sub-parking spaces in the area. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of parking usage and facilitate access for residents and visitors to various facilities in the area.
Al Shahama area is reportedly witnessing rapid urban and service growth with the presence of several schools, commercial centres, and community facilities, making it an increasingly popular destination for residents and visitors.
