Now that's a Cruyff turn up for the books

DAVID WATSON is eyeing a dream date with Ajax in the Europa League.

And the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year is adamant he wants to stay at Kilmarnock for as long as he can despite scouts circling.

The 19-year-old has been a revelation since bursting on to the scene under boss Derek McInnes and his all-action approach has made him a stand-out performer.

Watson is adding big goals to his repertoire and the midfielder has a contract in place until 2026.

Killie have guaranteed Europe by securing a top-five finish but fourth place would mean a spot in the Europa League second qualifying round and a potential date with big guns Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Watson said: “It’s amazing. It’s the biggest stage on the planet to play European football in front of fans.

“It’s really exciting for the club. It would be amazing to go away to Ajax or Braga. It would be such a dream for us.
