MacIntyre hoping sight of Ryder Cup team-mates will fire him up for glory

BOB MacINTYRE hopes a Rome reunion can fire his Major plan.

The Scot returns to the big stage at this week's USPGA Championship at Valhalla.

MacIntyre will be reunited with his Ryder Cup sidekicks with all 12 of Luke Donald's winning team from Marco Simone and the captain teeing it up in Kentucky.

The European squad will be together for the first time since their glorious Roman rampage over the USA and MacIntyre is excited to get amongst it.

He said: "I'm a quiet guy so I don't really interact a lot. I kind of do my own stuff.

"But look, familiar faces are great things when you're in an uncomfortable situation and seeing those boys, I mean, they will be preparing like mad for the PGA.

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it and hopefully I can build something this week. I'm just looking forward to getting a Major championship under the belt this year.
